"I was seen very promptly, they took good care of me. All staff members were extremely nice. One of my favorite places of all time."- R.O. / Yelp / Mar 10, 2018
"Attended the ER today when my mom fell down and sprained her wrist. The staff was outstanding with service and how good they made all of us feel there. Prices where great and we got out of there fairly quick. Thank you again to all the staff for the great work and professionalism. Luis Valdez"- L.V. / Yelp / May 18, 2020
"I had a recent health event that required immediate medical assistance on a holiday. Since iCare had very good reviews and was close to our home, I asked my wife to take me there. I’m very glad that I did! Their positive online ratings are well deserved but based on my experience they under-represent the extraordinary quality of medical service. It’s a 5-star facility throughout every phase of patient care. Their check-in process is efficient, compassionate and simple. Moving to a room for triage and diagnostics was better than most "normal" providers I've worked with over the years. It was clear that all of the PA's, nurses and doctors cared about me. Everyone played a part in making a very stressful situation manageable. The visit also required advanced imaging by CT Scan. The findings led to a specialist followup later that week which further confirmed the quality of their medical services. The imaging, radiologist write-up, and physician notes were noted as excellent. Lastly, Dr. Seungdamrong is absolutely world-class. This was a complicated situation that he handled professionally, thoroughly and with a clear concern for my personal well being. Thank you! I sincerely hope that you don't need to visit an urgent care facility, but if you live in the N. Frisco area I strongly encourage you to visit iCare. I didn't expect the quality of care to exceed my regular provider experience. iCare does!"- R.H. / Google / Mar 06, 2020
"Came in to figure out why I was so sick (not covid) and everyone was super nice to me and made me comfortable. Took a long time because they’re super busy, but very understandable. Good ER experience."- A.H. / Google / Jun 20, 2020
"I would recommend iCare to anyone. The staff is always polite and willing to take care of you or loved one. I would choose this facility everytime."- K.B. / Google / Jun 17, 2020
Purpose of the Physical
Annual school physicals are important for students as these exams can help catch illnesses or other health concerns before they become serious or interfere with physical activities. Medical problems such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, and many other illnesses can then addressed by an iCare physician. It is best to complete a physical 6 weeks before participating in a school sport or extracurricular activity. You can walk into an iCare ER & Urgent Care facility without an appointment to complete a school physical 7 days a week between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
What to Bring
Students requesting a physical should bring all forms that need to be completed to the appointment. If the student wears glasses or contacts, they should bring those as well in case their school requires a vision test. The student or parent may be asked questions about his or her family medical history.
What to Expect with School Physicals
While every school has different requirements for physicals, most will include the same basic proceedings to ensure the health of the student and detect any medical problems. A medical history review will be conducted, in which the physician will get a clear idea of the family medical history, any past conditions, lifestyle or behavioral issues, and to make sure that vaccinations are up to date.
Depending on the school’s particular requirements, this exam will most likely include checking the vital signs by taking the student’s temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, documenting weight and height, and noting respiration rates. The physician will observe the student’s general appearance, including the hair, nails, abdomen, limbs, head, and neck for any abnormalities or physical issues. The physician may measure lung function, muscle strength, reflexes and balance, flexibility, posture, and joint health. Some schools may require an eye exam, blood work, or vaccine updates according to the age of the student.
