Dr. Shane Cole – CEO & Medical Director

In Frisco and Fort Worth, TX, Dr. Shane Cole is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and entrepreneur. He takes pride in leading teams that help patients transition from their worst moments back to enjoying a healthy life. He currently serves as a managing partner of University Urgent Care, CEO and medical director of iCare ER & Urgent Care in Frisco and Fort Worth, and CEO of Woodbridge Emergency Medical Staffing Group. Dr. Cole has 12 years of clinical experience in major metropolitan hospital emergency rooms. He was awarded the Vitals.com “Patients’ Choice Award” and “On-Time Doctor Award” in 2014 and 2015.

Board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Cole has spent his career helping patients involved in accidents, injuries, and trauma. He is a member of The American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Cole studied medicine at Mercer University in Macon, GA. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of South Carolina at Palmetto Health Richland in Colombia, SC. He has certifications in advanced cardiac life support, advanced pediatric life support, and basic life support.

With their 2 dogs, Dr. Cole and wife Brandi moved to the Fort Worth, TX area 8 years ago so that he could join a democratic group of emergency physicians in Arlington, TX. Today, they now have 4 dogs and are very excited to have a baby on the way. If you would like to strike up a conversation with Dr. Cole, just mention anything about airplanes.
