"I was seen very promptly, they took good care of me. All staff members were extremely nice. One of my favorite places of all time."- R.O. / Yelp / Mar 10, 2018
"This was my first visit, and I hope subsequent visits are just as good, but for this first visit I thought everyone was great, each and every person from the front desk, to the initial check in exam to the Doctor's encounter. Very competent, thorough, throughout. I'm a nurse and I'm really looking for this level of care and analysis. I even came in the night before and I loved how the person at the front immediately asked me the reason I was coming in tonight - this is critical in an emergency. I went to another place similar to this before much closer to my house and they never ask me this. They just say sign in, if anything at all, seems like I have to get there attention. One time at this same "other place", my son was in complete anaphylactic shock and I had to get them to pay a little more attention to us right then. They handled it after that, but, you see the difference in how that makes you feel in that initial check in. It seems like many doctor's offices have snarky front office staff, iCare did not! After the initial question to immediately triage us, he then counseled us on cost with this being considered emergency care (not urgent care) after a certain time in the evening. He didn't have to do that, but I appreciated his consideration for our pocketbook - especially when it was just a sore throat. They are worth my little bit of extra drive time from now on!"- S.M. / Google / Dec 07, 2018

"Had to be seen due to a kidney stone. The staff, nurses, and Dr were exceptional! Most polite nurse and staff I have ever seen. If I ever need the ER, I will go here! Was in and out in about an hour. Highly recommend!"- T.T. / Google / Nov 27, 2018
"My first experience was Amazing..No wait friendly staff..extended tour by the Doctor..Honestly this didn't feel like a clinic it felt like a hotel with the friendly service I received and my toe is so much better. Thank you so much..If I have any other pains I will return. The Best Clinic in Frisco!!"- L.F. / Google / Nov 27, 2018
Purpose of Urinalysis
Urinalysis is used to screen for illness and medical conditions. Most commonly, urinalysis is used to check for signs of diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease, pregnancy, and overall health.
About the Tests
Our team can test your urine sample in a variety of ways, depending on if you are visiting iCare to screen for a specific condition or an overall wellness check. Using a urine test strip, dipstick, microscopic analysis, or physical observation, our team will perform a comprehensive urinalysis. Listed below are some examples of what will be analyzed by our team:
- Red or white blood cells
Our technicians will do a microscopic analysis of your urine sample to check for the presence of blood cells. If they are found, this could indicate a number of abnormalities.
- pH balance
If your urine is more acidic or alkaline than is typical, it can imply a variety of conditions and should be monitored.
- Protein levels
If protein is present in the urine, it can point to pregnancy or a serious medical issue.
The presence of glucose in the urine could be a sign of diabetes or other serious problems with the blood sugar.
If our technicians find nitrites or the products of bacteria as it breaks down in the urine, this could be a sign of a urinary tract infection.
Abnormalities in the color of the urine can point to issues with medications, fluid balance, or diet.
If the odor of the urine is particularly strong or unpleasant, our team may want to conduct further tests to find the cause.
In particular, cloudiness can signify that bacteria, sperm, mucus, blood, or crystals are present in the sample, all of which could point to different conditions that may need to be tested further.
What to Expect
The urinalysis process is quick and easy at the iCare facility in Frisco or South Fort Worth. We will collect a urine sample from you, which will then be analyzed by one of our experienced medical practitioners. Using a urine test strip or dipstick test, the urine will be inspected for any abnormalities that may indicate an illness, disease, or pregnancy. The sample will be examined physically as well for any irregularities in color, odor, or appearance. If abnormalities exist, our team will most likely perform further medical tests using the state-of-the-art technology in our onsite medical lab.
