"I was seen very promptly, they took good care of me. All staff members were extremely nice. One of my favorite places of all time."- R.O. / Yelp / Mar 10, 2018
"This was my first visit, and I hope subsequent visits are just as good, but for this first visit I thought everyone was great, each and every person from the front desk, to the initial check in exam to the Doctor's encounter. Very competent, thorough, throughout. I'm a nurse and I'm really looking for this level of care and analysis. I even came in the night before and I loved how the person at the front immediately asked me the reason I was coming in tonight - this is critical in an emergency. I went to another place similar to this before much closer to my house and they never ask me this. They just say sign in, if anything at all, seems like I have to get there attention. One time at this same "other place", my son was in complete anaphylactic shock and I had to get them to pay a little more attention to us right then. They handled it after that, but, you see the difference in how that makes you feel in that initial check in. It seems like many doctor's offices have snarky front office staff, iCare did not! After the initial question to immediately triage us, he then counseled us on cost with this being considered emergency care (not urgent care) after a certain time in the evening. He didn't have to do that, but I appreciated his consideration for our pocketbook - especially when it was just a sore throat. They are worth my little bit of extra drive time from now on!"- S.M. / Google / Dec 07, 2018
"I’ve been a patient here twice and have been given the best treatment! The atmosphere alone is absolutely amazing and the staff overall is just beyond great! They also call to do a followup which is very courteous of them!"- E.J. / Google / Nov 28, 2018
"Had to be seen due to a kidney stone. The staff, nurses, and Dr were exceptional! Most polite nurse and staff I have ever seen. If I ever need the ER, I will go here! Was in and out in about an hour. Highly recommend!"- T.T. / Google / Nov 27, 2018

Seeking Medical Care
Depending on the type of injury, signs that you should seek medical treatment at the iCare ER & Urgent Care are listed below:
The symptoms of a concussion include a headache, confusion, memory loss, fatigue, loss of consciousness, dizziness, sensitivity to light, nausea, and vomiting after a blow to the head. While a concussion can often be treated in urgent care, our team may send you to our emergency services especially if you exhibit symptoms such as slurred speech, rapid or slowed breathing, seizures, difficulty walking, extreme confusion, vision problems, pupil size changes, nasal or ear fluid discharge, weakness, or a headache that continues to get worse.
Dislocations, fractures, and sprains
Signs of dislocations, fractures, and sprains are very similar and difficult to tell apart. They may include intense pain, swelling, discoloration and bruising, deformity, tingling or numbness, and difficulty moving after a fall, blow, or other high-impact injuries to a joint or bone. Dislocation, fracture, and serious sprain injuries should always be treated by a medical professional immediately.
What to Expect
When you come into the iCare in either Frisco or Fort Worth, our experienced team of medical practitioners will quickly evaluate your condition to determine where you should be treated. This will depend mainly on the location and severity of your injury, along with the intensity of your pain. For sports injuries, pain management is almost always focused on and treated first. A medical history interview and physical examination will help our physicians determine how best to treat your pain. X-rays can be taken to further examine your injury for injuries such as dislocations, fractures, or sprains. CT scans may be utilized in the case of a concussion. Depending on the type and severity of your injury, our physicians may treat it with medication, splint or cast it, use a sling, use an ortho boot, or issue crutches or a cane.
While iCare is equipped with state-of-the-art tools to care for your sports injuries, some situations require further care that may include a hospital stay. In such cases, iCare has agreements set up with local facilities that will transfer you or your child to the hospital or specialist that fits the situation. Through this arrangement, you will be able to bypass the hospital ER to an inpatient hospital bed. Our team at iCare can also make referrals to specialists, such as orthopedic surgeons, ophthalmologists, neurosurgeons, or trauma surgeons, whom you may need according to the severity of the injury.
