Co-owner and board-certified ER physician at iCare ER & Urgent Care, Dr. Emil Soleyman-Zomalan provides quality emergency medicine in Frisco and Fort Worth, TX. Dr. Soleyman is also an attending emergency physician at the Arlington Emergency Medicine Associates in Arlington, TX. He is an associate member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas. Dr. Soley-Zomalan has certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and advanced trauma life support (ATLS).

Six years before going to medical school, Dr. Soleyman-Zomalan was an engineer and computer consultant. He was a network security coordinator and Linux System administrator at UC Berkeley. With these computer technical skills, he has authored software applications for administrative medical informatics and trauma simulations to train nurses, paramedics, technicians, and physicians in new emergency situations. As a leader in his field, Dr. Soleyman-Zomalan has been published and presented at conferences across the nation.

Skills & Specialties

Dr. Soleyman-Zomalan is highly trained in emergency medicine for children, adults, and seniors. He also has a special technology skill set in medical informatics engineering for performance measures, patient flow, and facility operations. During his residency at the Maimonides Medical Center (MMC) in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Soleyman-Zomalan developed software for administrators to contact physicians via e-mail about each patient experience from arrival to discharge. He created this program to enrich communication with a patient's private medical doctor and their MMC's physician. Dr. Soleyman-Zomalan has several years of experience improving electronic medical record reporting and aiding in extracting, compiling, and reporting data for clinical quality measures.

Education & Training

Dr. Soley-Zomalan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in molecular and cell biology at the University of California – Berkley. He went on to study pre-medicine post-baccalaureate at San Jose State University in San Jose, CA. Dr. Soley-Zomalan earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica.
